Additional Details:

  • 01, 02, 03 & 04 - The Pyrenees are a chain of mountains created by continents crashing into each other.  You can see where layers of rock have been bent upwards and cracked.
  • 05, 06, 07 & 08 - An arid climate in this part of California prevents vegetation from covering these examples of sedimentary rock layers.
