Measuring pH Using Red Cabbage

 

Introduction The juice extracted from red cabbage can be used as a pH indicator. Method Prepare red cabbage juice using a blender and a little water. Separate the liquid from the pulp of the leaves (a coffee filter works well). Mix a few drops of the juice with various substances.  Here are a few suggestions (as seen in the photo below): lemon juice coffee dishwashing liquid orange juice milk vinegar white wine laundry detergent Mix and observe the colors.
