Introduction
The juice extracted from red cabbage can be used as a pH indicator.
Method
- Prepare red cabbage juice using a blender and a little water.
- Separate the liquid from the pulp of the leaves (a coffee filter works well).
- Mix a few drops of the juice with various substances. Here are a few suggestions (as seen in the photo below):
- lemon juice
- coffee
- dishwashing liquid
- orange juice
- milk
- vinegar
- white wine
- laundry detergent
- Mix and observe the colors.
